FDA-Labeled Indication

• Duodenal ulcer disease, Active / Helicobacter pylori gastrointestinal tract infection
• Erosive esophagitis, maintenance of healing / Gastroesophageal reflux disease
• Gastric hypersecretion
• Gastric ulcer, active, benign
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease, Symptomatic
• Stress ulcer; Prophylaxis

Adverse Reaction (ADR)

• Abdominal pain
• Diarrhea
• Flatulence
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Headache

Contraindication

• Omeprazole is contraindicated in patient with knwon hypersensitivity (may include anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, angioedema, bronchospasm, interstitial nephritis, and urticaria) to substituted benzimidazole or to any component of the formulation
